The flexibility and easily customisable functionality of PTO can be the key to hosting a successful event for parents and staff. Whether you’re planning a collective parent conference, one-on-one interviews with teachers, booking uniform shop visits or hosting any other event which requires parents to come into the school, you can use your PTO system to make everything run smoothly.
One of the most helpful and easy-to-use functions for large scale, complicated or grouped sessions is the Multiple Booking function. By allowing a designated number of bookings to be made for each time slot, you can customise your event to your needs. This function works on a “class – by – class” basis. This means you have the power to turn it on or off for each class as you please, as well as increase or decrease the number of bookings that you want to allow.
How to Set Up Your Multi-Book in Your Spreadsheet
If you have still yet to upload your data, the easiest way to implement the Multiple Booking function is to include a “CMB” column in your spreadsheet (as seen below). CMB stands for Class Multi Book, and all that needs to be entered in this column is the number of bookings you require for each class.
And that’s it! Nothing else needs to be done. Once the CMB column has been filled in and your data has been uploaded, you are ready to enter your timeslots and get the parents booking.
Multi-Book Within PTO
If your data is already in PTO, the multi-book function can be added as required. Simply login to PTO and got to Data > View and edit your data here > Class/Teacher. From this screen, you can select a class, click the “VIEW-EDIT Class” button and type the required number of bookings per time slot into the “Multiple Bookings” field. Click “OK” and you have set up your Class Multi-Book!
